SproutScan retrieves product and ingredient data from third-party sources including OpenFoodFacts and USDA FoodData Central. While we strive to provide accurate, up-to-date information, this data may not be 100% accurate, complete, or current. Product formulations may change without notice, and database entries may contain errors or omissions.
The “Snap Ingredient List” feature uses Tesseract.js to perform optical character recognition (OCR) entirely on your device. Photos you take are processed client-side in your browser and are never uploaded to any server. OCR accuracy may vary depending on image quality, lighting, and text formatting.
SproutScan is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the information provided will be error-free or uninterrupted.
